Very rosy

I always want to follow it, but could never do so..

Jeene ka rangeen mausam,
ye khoobsurat zamana.
Kal ki hamein hai fikar kya,
kal kya ho kisne hai jaana.
Jina jise aata hai woh,
pal main hi mauj mana le.
Kal ki hamein fursat kahan,
soche jo hum matwale.

Another weekend gone

Comes another Monday blue. I'm bound to get a headache by EOD - not a unique feature for me, especially on Mondays.

We had Independence Day celebrations in Dallas. IANT here organizes a fabulous event every year (doing it over last 30 years), called ‘Anand Bazaar’. It attracts some 15,000+ Indians. Now, isn't that a big number?

Attractions are eateries, fireworks and music. While first two were good as usual, last one was lousy -> especially the female singers. You couldn't even hear their voice over the orchestra. And yeah, did I mention that orchestra was undoubtedly loud, but still….ladies were bad! Period!

On the MBA front - I'm yet to ponder and determine whether I'm applying to ISB this year or not? I intend to take a firm decision only after IIMA shortlist. Lets hope if I can make it to the list. I'm also not too keen on MBAs abroad. After having lived outside India for a while, I'd prefer to get back home now.

Submitted PGPX application

I submitted my IIMA PGPX application 2 days back and waiting for the response now. I really appreciate the simple application process IIMA has designed. Online, instructions, no application fee, no essays until you're shortlisted....doesn't it reflect a well thought and managed process? I hope other institutes learn quickly.

I took 15 full days in filling my PGPX application, only because I couldn't spare time at a stretch and more so because I didn't want to do it in a hurry. Now while the application is done, I'm in dilemma of whether to begin prep for essays or not? I'm pretty optimistic of receiving a call though.

On the work front, it is kinda crazy these days. We're added one business line last month, one this month and adding 2 more next month. I just wish this hustle-bustle were over before my interview (if I get a call).

More when I'm awake..
