Reality sinks in

Okay..so now while I've sent my acceptance for PGPEX (by IIMC), we've begun working on TO DOs (and it scares us). Gosh - so much to do, and so little time. The other day, I was telling Rani that even if we've little over 2 months, we feel it is not sufficient. There have been times, when we've wrapped up our life and moved on. May be, we got lazy..

Anyways, here is an indicative list (for activities in US an India):
Doctor
Insurance, Services, Membership cancellation
Pay bills
Sell stuff (Car, household, etc)
Buy personal stuff (a new Laptop, PDA)Buy gifts
Airline ticket confirmation
Quit job (yeeeee..)
Home Loan settlement
India Tax returns

A few pleasure activities:

Road trip with Jayesh and Neha
Trip to Vaishno Devi
Meet old colleagues
Meet old supervisors
Stay at home
Deepawali
Chotu's marriage

And so on..

PGPEX Interview experience

PGPEX is a full-time i-year MBA program from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, INDIA. Admission process for the II batch is underway.

I was interviewed for PGPEX in Newark, USA. There were 6 of us in morning slot and 5 in the afternoon one. I was the first one to be interviewed in morning slot (and effectively the first one in US). In my batch (morning), 5 guys from IT and 1 from Wireless Communication.

My interview began with a thorough check of all the documents and generic questions on what I do, my current responsibilities, major issues faced. Then more intense questions around my job profile and my employer. Why MBA and what do I want to do post-MBA? A couple of questions on IT industry, which is where I'm from? 2 questions on my ECA. Question on whether I need married accommodation. It seems that IIMC does not have many married accommodations. Though requesting married accommodation would not act as a disqualifying (or qualifying otherwise) criteria, IIMC wants to manage logistics well in advance. Photocopies were not asked from anyone, whom I know and was interviewed today. All in all, it was more of a chit-chat, informal discussion. Absolutely not like an interrogation.A friend of mine, who was interviewed in afternoon batch inquired that when would results be out and was told that definitely around 15th August. Wouldn’t that be our Independence Day (??), if selected.. Good luck to folks, who are going to interviewed in coming time.
