Consumerism at peak
The other day, while going to office in USA, I observed a lady. She was watering the plants in her patio. While that is a normal chore for many people, while striked me more was how consumerism has seeped in an average American . Check out:She was wearing a Nike track suit, had put on a pair of Nike sports shoes, listening to an iPod, holding a cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts in one hand and watering plants using other hand.
No wonder, an average American spends huge sums on articles of pleasure (source: WB Consumer Spending report).
